Lament is not the absence of faith—it is one of the deepest expressions of it. Throughout this Lenten journey, we will explore the rich tradition of lament found in Scripture, embracing grief rather than pushing it aside.
Each week, we will sit with the sorrow of faithful believers who have wrestled with suffering, injustice, and the aching question: *Why do the innocent endure pain?* Rather than finding a distant or disapproving God, we will encounter the One who weeps with us—who takes our grief, our questions, and our disappointments and transforms them into holy joy and renewed hope.
Through this series, we will come to see that lament is not weakness, but worship. It is the courageous act of bringing our deepest pain before God, trusting that He hears, cares, and responds. And ultimately, we will be led to the cross—the place where divine sorrow meets redemptive love.
Because of Jesus’ death and resurrection, we never mourn as those without hope. Instead, we lament as those who believe in a God who redeems even the deepest sorrow
