Women

Groups

The Women of the ELCA (WELCA) is the women’s organization of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. We have two groups that meet on a regular basis:

WELCA Circle 4 | Second Tuesdays | 2:00pm

At St. Paul’s, WELCA Circle 4 meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 2:00 pm from September-May. The circle currently meets in the St. Paul’s Annex for fellowship, a program, and to work on service projects.

Leland Women’s Group

The Leland Women’s Group meets regularly for fellowship and bible study. The Women’s Group learns and grows together using the NC Synod’s Summer Bible Study series.

Caring

The women of St. Paul’s have supported St. Paul’s children and youth ministry programs, filled Salvation Army Christmas Stockings, packed comfort care kits for disaster relief, provided cookies for the Monday Night = and created Migrant Care kits along with continuing to pray and care for St. Paul’s members via cards, meals, and visits.

Quilting

In addition to Circles, the Quilter’s Ministry meet biweekly during the fall and spring to sew quilts. Each fall, the Quilters choose an organization to donate made quilts. Quilts are also made available to the congregation for purchase to support the ongoing needs of the ministry.
