Women
Groups
The Women of the ELCA (WELCA) is the women’s organization of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. We have two groups that meet on a regular basis:
WELCA Circle 4 | Second Tuesdays | 2:00pm
At St. Paul’s, WELCA Circle 4 meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 2:00 pm from September-May. The circle currently meets in the St. Paul’s Annex for fellowship, a program, and to work on service projects.
Leland Women’s Group | Fourth Thursdays
The Leland Women’s Group meets on the fourth Thursday of the month in various member’s homes from September-May. The Women’s Group learns and grows together using the NC Synod’s Summer Bible Study series.
Caring
The women of St. Paul’s have provided cookies for the Monday Night Dinner Ministry, created snack packs for NourishNC, filled Christmas stockings, and created Migrant Care kits along with continuing to pray and care for St. Paul’s members via cards, meals, and visits.
Quilting
In addition to Circles, the Quilter’s Ministry meet weekly during the fall and spring to sew quilts for Lutheran Disaster Response.
