Recently, Lutheridge held a 75th Anniversary celebration banquet in honor of the many years of ministry and lives impacted by this special place apart. Lutheridge, located outside Asheville in Arden, NC, offers year- round and summer camp programming for children, teens, and adults.

St. Paul’s has participated in its many ministry opportunities over the years as well as many members have attended retreats/ summer camp, participated in family camp events, and are now sending their own children to week long camp. We also are in our third year of daycamp, partnering with Lutheridge, to provide programming and counselors to children in our congregation and community.

In the fall of 2024, the camp and the Asheville area sustained significant damage to its property and buildings. While recovery is not complete, the year has been filled with meaningful gifts and ways to prepare camp so that it can once again receive campers in time for its 75th summer of ministry.

While many hurricane insurance funds were used to complete repairs, a longterm capital campaign is established to ensure that this special place a part has another 75 years of ministry ahead of it. Projects such as Hill Cottages, Whisenant Chapel Windows, and Lakeside Restroom renovations ensure that the camp is available for year round ministry for groups, families, and individuals.

Gifts and commitments total 2.3 million (at the posting of the most recent May 08 Social Media Post) out of the $3,600,000 campaign goal.
