Beginning Oct 4th, WOW: Works of Wonder, our Fall Stewardship Campaign, debuts. We will highlight everyday ways people encounter God at work, in their lives, and in our church. We will highlight various ministries that have made an impact in large part due to our financial giving. Two of those ministries, our Clothes Closet and Monday Night Community Meal, continue to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our neighbors each week.
Every Saturday morning from 9:00 a.m. until Noon, the Clothes Closet in the Keever Hall basement welcomes people who are in need of clothing and other essentials. On a typical Saturday, between 50 and 60 people may come through our doors to receive items free of charge. This year, we have also been able to provide clothing to migrants in our community, extending the reach of this ministry even further. Your donations and participation help make this possible, and they are deeply appreciated by those we serve.
Every Monday evening, our Monday Night Community Meal serves a well-balanced, usually hot meal to people experiencing homelessness and to others in the community who simply need a good meal. Dinner is served at 6:30 p.m., and many members of St. Paul’s have already helped prepare, serve, and support these meals.
Through a meal, a coat, a pair of shoes, or a welcoming smile, we have the opportunity to share God’s love in practical and compassionate ways with our neighbors.
