Devotions, St. Paul’s In Your Home
In March of 202o, Pastor Mark (with the help of others) began writing devotions entitled, St. Paul’s In Your Home, on nearly a daily basis. These devotions included historical references and musical selections, and covered a wide range of topics and subjects.
St. Paul’s In Your Home, Volume 1, was written in 2020, starting in the early days of the pandemic. Pastor Michael Megahan, Ph.D., Chaplain Robert L. Weeks, USN (Ret.) and Deacon Susan Jackson contributed to this volume.
St. Paul’s In Your Home, Volume 2, was written as we moved through 2021. Again, Pastor Michael Megahan, Ph.D., Chaplain Robert L. Weeks, USN (Ret.) and Deacon Susan Jackson contributed to this volume along with Mr. Stan McLeroy.
In speaking about the inception of St. Paul’s In Your Home, Pastor Mark said:
“There was no master plan for what might emerge. I jotted ideas, looked for resonating scripture, sought words that would proclaim God’s grace, and added a prayer. As a bonus, I soon discovered that by adding links to YouTube music, I could provide added opportunity for meditation. I believed that even if the theme of the devotion didn’t speak to someone that particular day, maybe the music would. Well over a thousand links have been added. Many performers were new to me, and it has been a great joy to discover them.”
